Students, families and the Whitesville community,

My name is Mr. Ryan Conklin and I will be teaching Physical Education grades 5-12 starting January 4, 2021. Along with teaching Physical Education, I will be teaching both 8th and 10th grade Health Education. I’m a graduate of SUNY Cortland, while attending Cortland I was fortunate to teach and work with students’ pre-K on upwards to adulthood.

I’m originally from Dansville, New York where I was an active participant in athletics (Soccer, Swimming, Basketball, Baseball) and the community. I feel strongly about a community that values community involvement as athletics allowed me to do just that! This past fall I helped coach the Varsity Boys soccer team at Wayland-Cohocton. Additionally, I have a close connection to the opposite side of the sideline where I have officiated Varsity soccer as well as umpired baseball at the Collegiate level that I continue to do today.

I’m very excited to get to know everyone and to start making connections. During my free time from teaching, coaching, and officiating, I enjoy fishing. Growing up in Western New York has allowed me to fish (trout fish) some of the best trout streams in New York State. I look forward to fishing this spring and summer in the southern tier; in and around Whitesville.

Once again, I look forward to meeting everyone! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m here to work for and with the students, school and the Whitesville community.

    All the best,

    Ryan Conklin
