  • This year in art we have K-5, Middle School Art, and three high school courses: Drawing and Painting, Portfolio, and Studio in Art. I am excited to have the privilege to work with every grade level and to get to know the majority of Whitesville's students.

Degrees and Certifications:

Miss Ally Mitchell

Hello! My name is Ally Mitchell, and I am thrilled to be Whitesville’s new K-12 art teacher! I am originally from Randolph, New Jersey but made the move to Western NY to attend Alfred University for my BFA and minor in Art Education. Growing up my art teachers were some of the biggest influences in my life and I believe the environment fostered in an art classroom is unlike any other. In college, I focused on ceramics and photography but my passion for art transcends many other mediums as well. Outside of the studio, I participated in competitive swimming for sixteen years including three at the collegiate level. I am now a proud coach of the Hornell YMCA Swim team. When I am not in school, I enjoy skiing, hiking, concerts, reading, and spending time with my cat, Spoon. I look forward to further getting to know Whitesville’s students and families, and I cannot wait for an awesome school year!
