Please join us Saturday, June 28th at 11am for the 2025 Whitesville Central School Graduation Ceremony!

Summer is almost here! If your child needs an immunization this summer to prepare for next school year, Allegany County offers clinics in Belmont in June, July and August to get those needed immunizations.

WCS will be hosting a Summer Exploration Camp from July 8th through August 13th for our current elementary students in grades Kindergarten through 5. The program will be 2 days a week, with transportation provided. Look for the blue flyer coming home with your child on Wednesday.
In addition to campers, we are looking for 2 responsible WCS high school students interested in working as student helpers. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 20th. If interested, see Mrs. Matteson for an application.

Kindergarten and First Grade friends had a Bubbles Day today! They had gum ball races, bubble blowing contests, and free bubble play outside. In the afternoon, the classrooms joined together and had some fun bubble related activities! (We think Miss Marguerite might have to be deemed a professional bubble blower after this!!) 🫧

These boys knew how to end their year in style!

Our Seniors took the lead once again with the Senior/Kindergarten graduation walk through the halls this morning!

Today's the big day for 7-12th grades! Have a great summer Blue Jays!!

This week, Cafe Blue Jay celebrated Seniors, Oliver Smith and Bella Pepiciello, with their favorite meals alongside their families!

June is Internet Safety Month. With summer right around the corner, and kids spending more time online, it's a great time to review online behavior and learn how kids can stay safer using the internet. www.NetSmartzkids.org is a website with games to teach kids how to stay safe on the internet.

Our Seniors have been working hard these last few months on their Senior Projects! Last night they presented their Career Outlook Goals at the Board of Education meeting. They've attended mock interviews in their Marketing Class and shown that they are all ready for their next adventures in life!

K-2nd grades took their turn, out on the floor, at Funland Skate Center! It looks like we have some talented teachers to show these kids how it's done!

Yesterday, Blue Jay Cafe celebrated 2025 Senior, Katrina Lewis!

Cafe Blue Jay continues to out-do themselves with their dedicated Senior days in the lunch menu! Seniors pick their favorite breakfasts and lunches to be served on their special days and their families are invited in for lunch! Preston Fuller and Graci Lewis-Ellison have both enjoyed their honorable meals so far.

Here's a way to locally celebrate Flag Day & retire your worn-out flag with respect.

Is your child 11 or turning 11 this summer? The Tdap booster is required for students going into 6th grade who are at least 11 years old. Talk to your doctor about this important booster. This protects against Tetanus, which can be a serious and even deadly disease as well as Diphtheria and Pertussis (also known as Whooping cough). We want to keep our students healthy and well! 💙🤍💙

This week grades 3-5th went on an adventure to Riley Allen's Disc Golf in Allentown! The kids learned how to properly throw a disc, practiced with skill-building activities and then went off on the course! For some, it was a wet experience digging their discs out of the stream and getting distracted with nature! What a great time they had!

Last week our 3-5th grades went to Funland Skate Center in Wellsville to roll off some steam! The kids had a great time at all levels of skating skills.

Middle and High School Spanish students recently took a flavorful field trip to Rancho Viejo Mexican Restaurant, where they enjoyed authentic Mexican décor, cuisine, fruit-flavored sodas, and delicious desserts.
In the spirit of cultural immersion, many students stepped out of their comfort zones, not only to trying new dishes, but by placing their orders in Spanish. Whether confidently requesting their meals or simply adding a polite "por favor" and "gracias," everyone embraces the opportunity to put their language skills into practice.
It was a delicious and educational experience for all, proving that stepping outside the classroom (and your comfort zone!) can lead to some of the most memorable lessons!

Yesterday, the DECA club sponsored an end-of-year Ice Cream Social for the elementary students. We're pretty sure the kids loved it, from the looks of those smiles! Thank you, DECA students, for sharing your time with them!
