Its a winter wonderland! ❄❄❄ But with colder temperatures, the risk of frostbite rises. Frostbite can occur on unprotected skin as quickly as 30 minutes in very cold temperatures (with wind chills less than -15 degrees F). If you or your child's skin is turning red, white or grey or becoming numb, move to a warmer location and protect them from further exposure. Use lukewarm/warm (not hot)water or blankets to raise their body temperature. Do not rub the area- this could create further damage the skin. If normal skin color does not return in one hour, call your doctor or go to the ER. Check out this link for more information: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15439-frostbite. Have fun in the snow🏂, but stay safe! ☃

Yesterday, Ms. Stevens' Marketing/DECA class competed in the regional role play competition at Alfred State. All of the ladies performed quite well in the role play portion of the competition with Graci Lewis-Ellison taking home 3rd place, Katrina Lewis coming in 2nd place, and Bella Pepiciello taking 1st place overall for our school in both testing and role play. Shukrona Shermatova receives an honorable mention for obtaining the second highest score in the role play with an 88. Harper Bledsoe was a "runner" for the event and did a great job. We're very proud of our Blue Jays! Great work, girls and thank you Ms. Stevens for preparing them for this event!

🎄🎁The holidays can be a wonderful but stressful time of the year. According to the American Heart Association, cardiac death is almost 5% higher during the holidays than the rest of the year. Ensuring a healthy and joyous holiday season involves prioritizing both mental and heart health. Think about what matters most and that you enjoy and make sure to do those things, saying no to other things. Here are some suggestions for healthy holidays: https://www.heart.org/en/healthy-living/healthy-lifestyle/stress-management/holiday-stress-try-our-top-5-tips-for-a-healthy-holiday-season 💙🤍💙 Happy and Healthy Holidays!
