About 3.8 million concussions occur each year in the U.S. from sports-related injuries.
At Whitesville School, we are doing baseline testing this week through ImPACT, so that our medical director can evaluate better if someone has suffered a concussion and if they are recovered enough to return to playing sports. ImPACT is an FDA cleared medical test that is used by healthcare, educational, and sports organizations to help assess and manage concussions.

Congratulations to Deven Matteson and Holden Matteson for being selected as members of the JH and SH Area All State Choirs!
Deven will be attending JH Area All State this Friday and Saturday with the concert held at Hornell High School at 2:00 this Saturday.
Holden will be attending SH Area All State Nov 17th & 18th and his concert is at 2:00 on Saturday, November 18th at Elmira High School!

Attention Winter Athletes and Parents: There is a mandatory pre-season meeting for athletes and parents scheduled for Tuesday, November 7 @ 6:00pm in the Andover Central School Gymnasium. Sport registration and health history forms must be completed before an athlete can participate in winter sports. This can be found on the Athletics page on the school website. Practices begin November 13th.

With winter sport season approaching, remember that all student athletes need a recent physical (dated November 1, 2022 or after) AND a new interval health form filled out before they can practice for basketball or cheerleading. Here's to a healthy and safe sport season!
